This module involves HIV prevention sensitizations, defaulter tracing and psychosocial support to PLHIV. All the people on ART are followed from the CCC desk to ensure 100% drug adherence.
Those who miss appointments are referred as treatment interrupters thus line listed after twenty four hours and a phone call is first made to them by the community volunteers.
When no turn up has happened, community tracing is followed after the eight day by peer champions.
The community paralegals screens community cases affecting the general population and follow due process as well involving probono lawyer. This module aims at reduce HIV-related stigma and discrimination and ensuring a human rights-based approach to HIV.
A total of 6 Paralegal Officers and 2 Pro Bono Advocates are engaged by the program to cascade the interventions. They offer legal support to PLHIV through legal Aids Clinics and know your right campaigns (KYRC)
The organization holds community sensitizations ranging from community units structured dialogues with various people. These includes religious leaders, community gate keepers, chief barazas and radio talk shows.
During these gatherings, the organization learns the people’s culture and way of life. The public health knowledge is as well cascaded to the community through such forums.
Different support groups of people have embraced income generating activities to sustain their livelihoods. There is savings and income lending among the groups that translate to merry go rounds and table banking that enables households increase their source of income.
Among the groups we have poultry keeping, small businesses, dairy farming and apiarists.
